Optimal energy supply concepts comparison for a residential site
Client: Lauber IWISA
Site: Housing construction in Switzerland
Keywords: Groundwater heat pump, sector coupling, energy autarky
Summary
In light of concerns about electricity shortages, rising energy prices, and the need for greenhouse gas neutrality by 2050, this project explored energy supply options for a new housing quarter. The construction project contained ten apartment buildings and six single-family houses, with a total heated area of approximately 12,000 m2. The goal of the project was to identify optimal energy supply solutions based on costs, greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 equivalent), and the degree of self-sufficiency.
